monaboyd_monthYe Olde Sign-Up Post is up and running!
For those of you who are new (or just need a reminder), here's how it works: during the month of JULY this community will turn into a veritable monaboyd fest. You leave a comment to sign up; we assign you a particular date. This date is your date. On this date you post your contribution to the fest- fic, fanart, picspam, whatever you like. You can post as many times or as many things as you want on your date. On other dates the monaboydian offerings of others appear on your friendslist for you to enjoy! Plus, we have some other fun stuff and surprises throughout the month, and a free-for-all day at the end when everybody can post at once!
Here are all the details:
1. How do I sign up?
Just leave a comment on this post with the following information:

Journal you will be using to post (if different):
Preferred week of July, if you have one:
What sort of thing you'll be posting (fic, art, etc):
Would you be interested in having a second day to post more of your stuff and/or run an activity?:
Once you've signed up please friend the community so you can see any reminders or updates. We promise not to spam you and you're welcome to defriend the community once the major posting begins if for some reason you don't want monaboyd love all over your flist.
NOTE that there is now an option to sign up for a second day! Please be aware that this depends on the volume of signups and is not guaranteed.
2. When do sign ups end?
You have until May 14th to sign up for your preferred date. You may continue to sign up after the 14th, but at that point we will begin making the schedule and your preferred date/week might not be available.
3. When will assignment dates be sent out?
No later than May 21.
3. Am I guaranteed to get the week I want?
Well, not exactly. If everyone wants to be in the last week we're going to have to disappoint someone. Popular weeks will be assigned on a first-comment-first-serve basis. We are, however, very nice people. If you have a real problem with the date you're assigned just drop us a comment or email and we'll see what we can do.
1. How do I post?
First, join the community, to gain posting access. Then, simply post your offering to the community on the date assigned to you!
2. What kinds of things are appropriate?
Anything that shows your love of monaboyd. Some ideas are: fic, picspam, fanart, other art post (icons, wallpapers, headers, etc), gifs, fanvids, fanmixes, etc. If you have an idea that you're unsure about, feel free to contact us!
3. Do I have to do something new?
Well, yes. The idea is really to get some new monaboyd love out there. However, posting a chapter of an ongoing work or finishing something that you've previously posted as a WIP (as long as some significant progress has been made) is just fine! Link us to previous parts, we'll have more to enjoy!
4. Can I post my offerings in my personal journal/in other communities?

monaboyd_month, please. We are also allowing link-only posts if your fic is hosted on Archive of Our Own, but we still ask that you please wait until your day to upload the fic.
5. What happens if my post is late?
If you know your post is going to be late, PLEASE try to notify us as soon as possible. We'll try to switch around some dates or see if we can find somebody to pinch-hit. Really, though, please try to post on your date.
Note: Though we would like to know what you are posting so that we can arrange them in the best way possible, you are not limited to posting just one thing! Your day is your day and you are free to make as many posts as you want on that day. :)
Also, keep an eye on this community! We're working on some fun new activities for monaboyd month this year, some of which will involve your input. More details to follow!
