monaboyd_monthGood morning, good morning! I hope to have some fic for you this evening, but in the meantime, I'll try to spread some picspammish love across the day. For starters, anyone who knows me or reads my LJ is well aware that I have a preference for these two gents cleaned up—in suits, or, well, just looking somewhat tidy, which can be a challenge for both of them, as we all know. (I say this with love, of course.) But oh, how they can rise up to that challenge.
Mind you, we have to get the pictures out of the envelope first. Give 'em up, Monaghan.
I'm sparing you my usual rambling commentary. For the most part, anyway. :)
The FOTR years. Oh, how young. And Billy working the monochromatic suit before the other two thought it might be fun.
Mind you, they caught on quick, didn't they?
I just adore this picture. I love the quiet little tension in Dominic's face, and the determined cheer in Billy's.
See, and because I'm not in my own space here, I'm not even going to focus on Billy's propensity to sit as if his life depended on perpetual display of his—wait, sorry. Moving on. But you can see that even Dominic knows what I'm talking about.
I really do love these suits. Is it obvious? I think I'm playing it pretty close to the vest here.
Oh, Cannes. And Dominic in the second greatest suit that ever greated. Aren't they lovely? Well, Dominic's beautiful and Billy's underfed, but overall, lovely.
Sometimes they get it so right it's almost painful. Even Bean recognizes this.
Onward to Two Towers time. Here we see them acknowledging to each other just how fantastic they are. And we appreciate this, do we not?
Notwithstanding my journal name, I'm not actually that into kilts. But the black dress one is my favourite of Billy's for several reasons, and oh, the Paris TTT premiere was well played.
Dominic does astonishing things with his suits (or the closes things he has to them), and somehow makes them work. That's not the reason I spam this here, though; while they are both technically in suits, I love this picture mainly because of Dominic's hair and the sharp focus on him and Billy faded out in the back, working the line as he does, charmingly and professionally, while Dominic catches your attention and keeps it whether you like it or not. Good man. <3
Mmm, favourite SAGs appearance ever. <3 How so fantastic, OTP. HOW.
*handmotions and noises* I just. It's unspeakable. And I will hear nothing about Dominic's hat, understand? Considering the headgear these two have attempted to pull off, this hat is positively UNDERSTATED and CLASSY.
I'm not entirely sure Billy agrees with me, though.
He doesn't have to, really. My god, they are stunning. *chinhands*

This TTT premiere was chock-full of ridiculous faces and poses, but that's all irrelevant, because god, look at them. I have a fondness for this suit of Billy's, yes—a huge fondness that has often overtaken my LJ like a swam of short suited Scottish bees—but I even like Dominic's shiny suit. Like I said, he makes things work.
Good thing I have a fondness for Billy's suit, too, because he's worn the hell out of it. But oh, is it every worth it. And oh, Dominic, look at your mandarin collared self. Perfection. And happily, he's worn that jacket more than once, which is a rarity in Dominic's sort-of-dressed-up wardrobe.
But back to the black dress kilt outfit. And foofy hair. And Dominic being shiny and sweet in the background. It pleases me. *open hands*
This pleases me, too. And it was a night of happymaking canon, as well; I mean, as a writer it gives me a frillion places to go with Dominic's being sick, Billy's being half-drunk, and both of them just Getting Through It the way they just do, and being charming as ever. What more could you want in an OTP? Your answer is nothing.
Even looking like ridiculous creatures from the neck up (oh, my heart), they still attempt to rock the suits. I approve of and appreciate this.

And on to ROTKish times. I've spent thousands of words on this picture over the course of the last five and a half years or so, so I'll spare you many more now. But honestly, I could spend happy hours contemplating the flex of Dominic's thighs and the flight of Billy's tie, on how Billy somehow makes the sunglasses and his mad hair work and how Dominic could probably not be much hotter. Couldn't you do the same? I mean if you REALLY TRIED? Go on, I'll wait.
Look, they're even watching and enjoying you spend happy hours contemplating these things. Dominic's even happy to suggest you expand your thoughts and possibly get them down on paper.
Foofy haired overheated OTP, still working the crowd like masters. ♥
Now let's spend a moment contemplating their hands. Isn't this an excellent investment of your time? Yes, I thought so, too.

THIS IS NO TIME TO TAKE A PHONE CALL, BOYD.
In which we find Dominic sweetly hinting at the many things he's going to do that phone later if Billy picks it up again, and Billy delightfully encouraging him to BRING IT.
Billy: It's like she can hear our thoughts.
Dominic: INORITE?
All of Fandom: Um, sorry to say, but it's not just her, guys.
I just thought we needed one more angle. You know, just to be sure we all absorbed this image fully. Go on, I'll wait.
Right, Tokyo ROTK. Premiere love of my life. They were beautiful, and I will hear no dissent.
I mean, LOOK AT THAT.
Even here they're delicious, though every time I see this photo, I also see long ginger ponytails coming out of the top of Dominic's head. AND NOW YOU WILL, TOO.
It's perfectly fine, though, because they think it's funny, too. Mind you, by this point, EVERYTHING was funny. Everything, ever, in the universe. They're punch drunk and fantastic and fabulous, and I love them and this picture SO MUCH.
I have nothing intelligent to say here, so I'll just get to the point: they're heartbearkingly wonderful.
No, seriously, they really are. YOU'RE TOTALLY SEEING THE PONYTAILS, AREN'T YOU.

I realize I'm skipping a huge amount of time here, but these deserves the attention. Oh, OTP. This is almost ten years since Billy and Dominic met, people, and look at them. They're a fucking gift to us, and again, I will hear no dissent.

I've never really liked that "I'll be in my bunk" saying, but honestly? I'LL BE IN MY BUNK. After I stop boggling at the fact that for once Billy forgot to wear a belt. Or perhaps he just ... repurposed it. I'm sure that's what happened. Because Billy would never appear in the least bit slovenly. Never. Ahem.
Well, at least not until the next spam, anyway. :)
